The HP Tuners RAM CM2450B ECM Upgrade Service provides calibration and diagnostic access for 2022–2024 RAM 6.7L Cummins platforms equipped with the CM2450B ECM. This send-in service enables tuning support through VCM Suite using the MPVI4 interface and required Dodge Smart Access Cable.

Your original ECM must be physically removed from the vehicle and shipped in for processing. Once returned, the ECM can be reinstalled into the same vehicle without requiring an IMMO relearn, crank relearn, or ECM replacement procedure.

Original ECM must be in good condition (no broken tabs/plastic).
Note: Spare ECMs will NOT BE ACCEPTED, no exceptions. Only the original ECM from your vehicle is acceptable for this service.

IMPORTANT: While the stock ECM is being serviced at HP Tuners, a spare ECM cannot be temporarily installed and relearned in the vehicle.

IMPORTANT: When utilizing this service there is a possibility that the vehicle will need to be sent to the dealers to be re synced. Purchaser accepts all liability for this activity.

Required Hardware & Software

Required Components

• HP Tuners MPVI4/ MPVi3 interface (MPVI2 and 2+ are not compatible)
• 2018+ Dodge Smart Access Cable
• HP Tuners' VCM Suite (Beta)
• (6) Universal Credits for ECM licensing

Optional Transmission Support

Vehicles equipped with the Aisin AS69RC transmission and AS69RC_B TCM may require an additional 4 Universal Credits for transmission calibration access. NO separate Unlock/Upgrade service needed

How the Process Works

Step 1

Purchase the ECM upgrade service and confirm your vehicle compatibility.

Step 2

Remove the original ECM from the vehicle and complete the shipping form.

Step 3

Package the ECM securely and place the completed form inside the box.

Step 4

Clearly write your order number on the outside of the package before shipping. 

Step 5

Ship the ECM to HP Tuners for processing.

Step 6

Once returned, reinstall the upgraded ECM, apply Universal Credits, and begin calibration access through VCM Suite.

• Once upgraded, users must license their ECM. Universal credits sold separately.
• Upon reinstallation, we recommend connecting to the latest version of VCM Scanner and reading/clearing DTCs.
• No other tuning or calibration tools can be used with the ECM.
• Dealer diagnostic tools and VCM Scanner will continue to function normally.
• The latest version of VCM Suite can be used to return to stock calibration and/or update to the latest stock calibration.
