Advancements in common-rail injector technology have pushed factory fuel rails well past the capacity they were designed for. As injected quantity increases, so does the drop in rail pressure during the injection event. The S&S Diesel Motorsport® Double-Barrel Fuel Rail offsets that drop with 2.5x the volume of a stock 6.7L Cummins rail — more pressurized fuel on demand throughout the injection event.
Released at the Ultimate Callout Challenge, the Double-Barrel Fuel Rail is built for max-effort 6.7L Cummins competition applications: drag racing, truck pulling, and big dyno numbers — any setup that needs large quantities of fuel injected quickly.
Features:
- 2.5x (154% more) volume than a stock 6.7L Cummins fuel rail
- Maintains pressure better throughout the injection event
- More injected quantity for the same injection duration
- Improved rail pressure control from more consistent sensor feedback
- Modular design for flexible feed port, sensor, and PRV placement
- Tested to 3,000 bar (43,511 psi)
- For max-effort 6.7L Cummins competition applications (not a direct bolt-on)
- Made in the USA
What's Included:
Sold as a bare rail — no plugs, fittings, sensors, or pressure relief valves. This allows the rail to be custom-configured for each application. Optional rail caps, plugs, feed fittings, external PRVs (1,850–2,700 bar), and rail pressure sensors (0–2,000 to 0–3,400 bar) are available separately.
Technical Specifications:
- Fuel compatibility: Diesel
- Volume: 66.1 cc (4.03 cu in)
- Tested pressure: 3,000 bar (43,511 psi)
- Inlet ports: 2x M14 x 1.5 male
- Injector ports: 6x M18 x 1.5 male
- Auxiliary ports: 4x M18 x 1.5 female
- Weight: 4.35 kg (9.6 lbs)
- Maximum dimensions: 369 mm x 120 mm x 48 mm
Setup Notes:
- The 2007.5–2018 6.7L Cummins fuel system was designed to operate at 1,800 bar. The rail is tested to 3,000 bar, but running injectors at that pressure is not recommended — above 1,800 bar, return through the injectors increases exponentially, wearing injectors prematurely and over-working high-pressure pumps.
- NVH isolators are recommended on injector lines for all competition applications, even with a factory rail.
