GM T93 TCM Upgrade Service

Required for HP Tuners Global B Transmission Tuning

The GM T93 TCM upgrade service is a required, one-time send-in process that enables diagnostics and tuning access for 2024–2026 GM Duramax L5P trucks equipped with the 10L80 10-speed transmission using HP Tuners VCM Suite (BETA).

This service upgrades your factory T93 transmission control module, which must be physically removed from the vehicle and shipped to HP Tuners for processing.

No shortcuts.
No remote unlocks.
The factory TCM must be sent in.

What This Service Does

GM Global B vehicles lock the T93 TCM from tuning and advanced diagnostics out of the box. This upgrade modifies your original module so it can be licensed and tuned using HP Tuners software.

Once completed, you gain:

• Full transmission calibration access
• Logging and diagnostics via OBDII
• Compatibility with HP Tuners VCM Suite (BETA)

This service does not pre-program the TCM to a VIN — it is returned to the same vehicle it came from.

IMPORTANT — Send-In Required

This is a send-in upgrade service.

You must:

• Remove your factory T93 TCM
• Ship it to HP Tuners for upgrading
• Reinstall the same module once returned
  
  
• A spare TCM cannot be temporarily installed or relearned while your unit is being serviced. Doing so will cause the upgraded TCM to no longer function in the vehicle.

To use this service, you must have:

• HP Tuners RTD4 / MPVi4 interface

Older devices are not compatible with GM Global B vehicles.

Service Notes & Expectations

• This is a one-time upgrade
• Factory diagnostic tools will continue to function normally
• HP Tuners will work for tuning after upgrade
• The TCM can be returned to stock using VCM Suite
• Allow up to 7 business days for service (not including shipping)
• After reinstall, clear DTCs using VCM Scanner before tuning
• No other tuning tools are supported on the upgraded TCM.
